About Us

The objects of the Association are:

  1. To promote and to preserve Bulgarian culture, traditions and language among the Bulgarian community and in the state of Western Australia, including provision of school education.

  2. To sustain knowledge and understanding about Bulgarian culture and history by organising social events, forums, expositions, performances and other public initiatives.

  3. To strengthen the social, economic, educational and cultural ties between Australia and Bulgaria.

  4. To collaborate with other Bulgarian organisations in Australia and around the world.

As per the Association's Constitution (attached below):

Membership is open to individuals aged 18 or over who accept the objects and rules of the Association.

There are four classes of membership:

Ordinary Member
  • being any individual, but not a body corporate;
  • Junior Member
  • being a child up to 18 years old;
  • Honorary Member
  • granted by the Management Committee to individuals with exceptional contributions to the objects of the Association;
  • Life Member
  • granted to the founders of the Association.
